Teaching statement
Hey! I'm Louis Vanhove, currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science and AI at VUB, and I am a graduate of Howest Digital Arts and Entertainment: Independent Game Production. That major is ranked #1/#2 in the world, so the standards for quality work are high. My bachelor's thesis on a programming topic was the best of the past three years among all students. Before this, I graduated in Latin-Mathematics while also working as a youth leader. I get along well with many different kinds of students, enjoy helping people, and especially like sharing knowledge in a fun way. My lessons focus on first understanding the goal of what you are learning. Once the big picture is clear, we move through the details step by step so the concept becomes easier to follow. I teach mathematics, C#, Python, data structures, algorithms, and broader programming topics.
