“TutorDeluxe Verified” is a single public mark. Behind it we store the result of each individual check. A tutor only earns the badge once every required check passes — and the badge appears only on the tutor's profile, never on directory cards.
Pre-screening review
A human reviews the application for quality and fit before any payment is taken.
Identity verification
We confirm the tutor is who they say they are using identity verification.
Qualification verification
We review claimed qualifications against supporting evidence.
Experience / work-history verification
We review work and teaching history against supporting evidence.
Reference verification
We contact at least one reference and record a structured outcome.
Profile truthfulness & consistency review
We check the public profile against verified evidence — no unverified titles, no impossible promises, no misleading affiliations.
Minimum rate check (≥ €40/h)
We confirm the advertised rate meets our minimum standard of €40/hour.
Country-specific child-safety documentation
Where legally available and relevant, we review country-specific child-safety documentation. Laws vary by country, so this is applied case by case.
What verification does not mean
Verification reflects a review completed on a stated date. It is not ongoing monitoring, not a criminal-clearance guarantee, not an endorsement by any government or university, and not a guarantee of teaching outcomes or child safety. We show “Verified on [date]” rather than “currently verified” for exactly this reason.
